Status: Common. Habit and Habitat: Flight fast. Found in well vegetated areas, mixed evergreen forest, deciduous forest, hilly areas and gardens. Seen feeding on flowers close to ground. When settle it continuously wiggle the false head or tails. Similar with Spindasis ictis, Spindasis vulcanus and Spindasis syama. Local Distribution: Central, northeast, northwest and southeast regions. Range: Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, India, Vietnam and China.
