Description: It is a small to medium size shrub which is widely cultivated as an ornamental for its aromatic foliage and beautiful flowers. It is a native plant of America. The species is also naturalised in Australia and Indian subcontinent. Its flowers are white, pink, or light blue-purple in color. Usually found on brushy hillsides and along roadsides. Sometimes on riverbanks and sandbars, from sea level to elevations of 1,800 metres
