Status: Very common. Habit and Habitat: It has powerful flight. When disturbed, flies in short distance and settles on leaf. Found in all types of habitats such as homestead vegetation, fruit garden, near fruit shop in town and villages, forested areas of hilly and plain lands. It is very fond of feeding on over ripen and rotten fruits. Occasionally seen visiting on flowers. Remarkable color variation and variation in spots of upper side of fore wing are common phenomena. Local Distribution: Widely distributed. Range: Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Singapore.
