Status: Very common. Habit and Habitat: It is an unpalatable butterfly, flight slow and gliding at a same place when feeling undisturbed. It is not cover a long distance in a single flight. Male often shows its’ yellow hair pencil for attraction of female. In hot day it may taking rest in its’ own species group or with in mix flock in a shady place. Regularly seen male on puddle. Found in all types of habitats as plain land, roadside bushes, bushes beside railway line, agriculture field, deciduous and mixed-evergreen forest, hill forest and river bank. Male and female almost similar. Local Distribution: Widely distributed. Range: Bangladesh and India.
